\nArrested\u2014Jiang Lijun (\u59dc\u529b\u94a7), labor rights activist, Tieling, Liaoning. Police seized him during a raid on his home on May 16, and officially detained him two days later on suspicion of \u201cpicking quarrels and provoking troubles.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nInterrogated\u2014Jin Jiming (\u91d1\u57fa\u660e), Zhejiang Committee member of China Democracy Party. Police took him without showing warrants for interrogation at the Changqing Police Station in Xiacheng District, Hangzhou.
\nJune 21
\nTaken away\u2014Yin Yusheng (\u6bb7\u7389\u751f), journalist. He was seized in Dalian and transferred to the Zhengzhou Municipal No. 3 Detention Center. He is reportedly facing criminal detention on suspicion of \u201cgathering a crowd to disrupt order in a public place.\u201d Yin attended a June Fourth Commemorative event in Henan on February 2.

\nArrested\u2014Wang Qingying (\u738b\u6e05\u8425), former lecturer and activist, on suspicion of \u201cinciting subversion of state power.\u201d Currently held at Guangzhou No. 1 Detention Center. Criminally detained on May 16 at the Baiyun Detention Center, Guangzhou on suspicion of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles.” When first detained, plainclothes men searched Wang’s home without showing ID cards or search warrants. They took away mobile phones and computers.<\/p>\n
Arrested\u2014Yuan Xinting (\u8881\u65b0\u4ead), Guangzhou-based activist, on suspicion of \u201cinciting subversion of state power.\u201d Criminally detained on May 16 on suspicion of \u201cpicking quarrels and provoking troubles,\u201d at the Baiyun District Detention Center, Guangzhou. Yuan’s mother reportedly learned of her son\u2019s detention only after calling 110 to report his disappearance.<\/p>\n
Arrested\u2014Tang Jingling (\u5510\u8346\u9675), lawyer, on suspicion of \u201cinciting subversion of state power.\u201d Currently held at Guangzhou No. 1 Detention Center. Criminally detained on May 16 on suspicion of \u201cpicking quarrels and provoking troubles\u201d at Baiyun District Detention Center (\u767d\u4e91\u533a\u770b\u5b88\u6240) in Guangzhou, after police confiscated a computer and three mobile phones from his home. Tang was reportedly kicked and beaten during detention when he refused to squat down.<\/p>\n
Indicted\u2014Guo Feixiong (\u90ed\u98de\u96c4) (Penname of Yang Maodong [\u672c\u540d\u6768\u8302\u4e1c]), on suspicion of “gathering a crowd to disrupt order in a public place.” In early 2013, he supported the Southern Weekly protests against political interference in editorial matters by giving speeches and raising banners. He was criminally detained on August 8, 2013. Previously, he served five years in prison on \u201cillegal business activity,\u201d following his efforts to rescue lawyer Gao Zhisheng, and was released on September 13, 2011.<\/p>\n
