The brightly painted letters on the wall spelling out \u201cBOOK\u201d were obscured by shelves full of instant noodles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe people here were very nice and I really liked the library,\u201d Qiufeng said. \u201cBut now it\u2019s gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recommended: Think you know Asia? The libraries are among the victims of a sweeping orthodoxy laid down by President Xi Jinping, who continues to consolidate his power.
