Spread the Word are bringing the London Short Story Festival to Waterstones Piccadilly on 20 – 22 June. Come along and be inspired and awed by the short story masters of our time, including Jackie Kay, Claire Keegan, Helen Simpson, AL Kennedy and many, many more.

As part of the festival, English PEN will be hosting two sessions with writer Femi Martin on Saturday 21 June. Femi will be talking about her work with PEN as a short story writer in the Writer’s Space at 3-3.30pm and reading at ‘Speakers’ Corner’ at 4pm.

Femi Martin is a writer and performer, most widely known for her flash fiction. She has delivered workshops in partnership with many organisations including Spread the Word, English PEN, The Barbican Centre, The Reading Agency, and The George Orwell Prize. Femi is currently head judge at StorySLAM:Live and was the Dickens 2012 Young Writer in Residence.
