The post shares an image of the start of university student boycotts in Hong CUHK-boycottKong yesterday to protest China’s refusal to grant full universal suffrage to the territory as promised in a 1984 treaty with the United Kingdom. The student boycotts were inaugurated with a mass gathering of students on the University Mall at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The image collection on ChrisTac’s Weibo post is topped with a picture showing students holding a banner that reads, “Make a foundation of democracy, to ensure tomorrow is free from trouble.”
